In the Hunter Valley Wine district, our client wanted a contemporary design that connected the living spaces to the rural backdrop. Using careful passive design techniques, we produced a minimal design flooded with natural light and materiality that both integrated and contrasted with the local landscape.

About this client’s build

In amongst a subdivision of immense style diversity but with a series of specific design guidelines, the design intent was to make a statement through dedicated material volumes that emphasised internal space.

Consistent materiality runs throughout the home from the front façade to the rear yard ensuring a streamlined response to the client brief and the local vernacular.
